Summit Racing Equipment continuing commitment to USRA racers in 2022 and beyond
Officials from the United States Racing Association and Summit Racing Equipment announced this week that they have inked a new multi-year exclusive partnership to support the racers who compete in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.
Since 2017, Summit Racing Equipment has been title sponsor of the USRA and The World’s Speed Shop™ will also continue as the Official High Performance Source of the USRA as well as the title sponsor of the Summit USRA Nationals.
“After meeting with Todd (Staley) and his family and staff a few years ago, we knew the USMTS was going to be a great avenue for us to show our support for the racer,” said Jim Greenleaf, Summit Racing Equipment’s Motorsports and Events Manager. “That is really what we're in this business for is supporting the racers.
“The Summit USRA Nationals last year was just an incredible event and we’re glad to be part of that and looking forward to seeing what this will turn into over the years. There could not be a better organization or a better venue for an event of this type.”
Summit Racing Equipment will also be the title sponsor of this year’s Summit Shootout during the 9th Annual Summit USRA Nationals. The event is slated for Oct. 3-8 this year at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.
In addition to making a significant contribution to the track and national points funds for drivers in all eight USRA-sanctioned divisions in Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series as well as the American Racer Modified Series presented by Day Motor Sports, Summit will be rewarding USRA competitors in many other ways too.
Heading into the 2022 campaign, Summit Racing Equipment once again offered a $50 gift card to the first 300 drivers who purchased their USRA license. What’s more, valuable gift cards good for Summit Racing Equipment merchandise are going to each of the top five in the final national points for all Summit Racing USRA Weekly Racing Series divisions.
“We’ve been able to see firsthand the level of optimism that Summit’s staff has for the future of dirt track racing and their commitment to and appreciation of the racer,” said USRA President Todd Staley. “We continue to be humbled and honored to be working with Summit.”
All driver competing in a USRA-sanctioned event are required to display the Summit Racing Equipment decal on both sides of his or her racecar.
In addition to making a significant contribution to points funds for USMTS competitors, Summit Racing Equipment will also dole out thousands of dollars in gift cards and product certificates to competitors during the course of the season as well as at season’s end.
